To follow up yesterdays blog on the “Incorporating Green Chemistry Concepts into Mobile Chemistry Applications and Their Potential Uses” paper we now have a new paper in Chem-Bio Informatics Journal, called “Cheminformatics workflows using mobile apps” (with Alex Clark and Antony Williams). This is a Japanese peer reviewed journal and has its papers freely available – so please go and read it it as it covers how we can use apps for quite complex workflows!
This manuscript was submitted Nov 17th 2012, and 2 reviews were sent to us Dec 6th and was finally accepted Dec 16th. If only other journals could offer this kind of a turnaround which is clearly the fastest review I have observed in the past 12 months.
After yesterdays suggestion for a journal on mobile apps I recieved an email…

Now I have never heard of this journal and it looks like a “pay per view” type, but it just shows to be careful what you wish for!
